How to get the best wedding photos

A fun and memorable wedding day requires a lot of preparation and sadly most of the things you worked so much on to plan them out will vanish once the big day goes off. However, this does not apply to your wedding photos, which will be yours to keep forever.

So how can you make sure that you will get such wedding photos to which you will want to look at for years and years to come?

Here are a few essential tips to help you out in order to get the best wedding photos:

Plan it out early

Time is a key element when you are planning such a big day like your wedding day - but time flies away really fast so you have to make sure that you start early. When it comes to your wedding photos start looking at the work of different photographs and pay attention to their style, references, and the final price.

Hiring a professional will save you, in the end, a lot of time and nerves. Once you found the perfect match, make sure you sign a contract and discuss all the details about format, price, and delivery.

 Make a shot list

As I mentioned before, time flies away really fast and even faster on your wedding day. So think ahead and make a shot list to follow on the big day - this will save you a lot of time and will ensure that you and your guests will not get bored during the photoshoots.

Remember that you do not need a photo of every possible combination of relatives and friends - a well made shot list can help you out to see which are the most relevant shots you need.

Think about the space

When booking the venue, you can already start thinking about how you want your photos to look like, which are the places in which you will take the most photos and if these places have enough lighting and space to get the best wedding photos you dreamed off.

A must remember tip when it comes to space, especially the one at home - which is the place of the getting ready photos - is to leave a clear area in the house where these photoshoots can take place (without any dropped clothes or random stuff in it).

Pose naturally

Easy to say, hard to follow: pose naturally. However, practicing can make wonders in this matter too, so start exploring poses with your partner and analyze which are your best angles.

Laugh, walk slowly, empty your pockets, kiss clean and with close-eyes, and last but not least, head up. Also, do not forget to discuss with your photograph any preferences and anxieties you may have regarding posing and the final wedding shots.

Relax and have fun

Hard but important to remember: your wedding day is not about the dress, is not about the cake nor the photos, is about celebrating a significant moment in your life. So, relax and have fun, let all the professionals you hired to take care of the details.

When it comes to the wedding photos, do not over worry and rather trust your photograph and its team that they will get you the best photos possible.

Finally, keep in mind that the unplanned will happen no matter how much you think ahead, but even the heaviest rain, for example, could bring a bunch of new opportunities.
